BEAU Unveils Envision Art Show
BEAU students are revealing their reflections on sexual violence during the Envision Art Show on June 7, 2013, in the Kaye Myhre Gallery on campus. The exhibit will communicate this important topic through a variety of platforms, including digital media, visual art and poster designs.
“The artists will be taking the issue of sexual violence and addressing it in their own unique way,” says Art Show Organizer Erin Coleman-Cruz. “Utah has the second highest per capita rate of sexual violence. It’s a bigger issue then people think.”
Refreshments will be provided and attendees are encouraged to convey their own reflections on sexual violence through a personalized exhibit.
The opening reception for the Envision Art Show is on Friday, June 7 from 7 pm – 9 pm. The exhibit will run from June 7th – July 11th. The Kaye Myhre Gallery is located on the 3rd floor of BEAU, which is located at 240 East Morris Avenue in Salt Lake City. For more information, call 801-300-4300.
