Students get to Apply their skills at 48 Hours (Film challenge)
Several students were able to use the skills they learned in the classroom at a film challenge called 48 hours on Friday and Saturday, June 8th and 9th. Rando Schmook explained the process “My team had a brainstorming session and then wrote from 10pm Friday until 5am Saturday morning, short 2 hour nap and then set call at 9 am to a West Valley location. We shot until 8:30 PM, 90 minutes less than our self-imposed deadline for shooting. Enough time for dinner, off load the digital data, (4 hours – nap time). Then we edited the film until 2:30PM Sunday, send a locked version to the composer who returned the music score at 4PM. Final version of image and sound is formatted, copied and sent off to 48HFP at 7:10 PM making the final drop-dead deadline of 7:30PM with 6 whole minutes to spare.”
It was a great opportunity for BEAU students to apply the knowledge they recieved in the classroom.
