Through BEAU’s Visual Design (BFA) with a specialization in Comic and Sequential Art, you can develop the skills and knowledge you need to turn characters, environments and dialogues into fully realized stories. You’ll learn from industry-experienced instructors who bring their real-world knowledge to you. You’ll have opportunities to professionally network and to learn about the comic book and self-publishing industries. By taking classes full-time at 15 credits per quarter, year-round, you can earn your BFA in Visual Design with a specialization in Comic and Sequential Art in as little as three years.*
You’ll explore the process of managing the creation, publication and distribution of print and/or electronic comic books, graphic novels and other creative written works.
You’ll take your skills in illustrated sequential image publications to the highest level, producing and digitally publishing a complete full-color graphic novel.
You’ll develop your drawing and colorization skills by imagining and creating 2D fantasy worlds. You’ll adapt research of past civilizations into fully detailed futuristic fantasy environments.
You’ll develop your technical drawing and visual storytelling skills so you can write, draw, ink and publish your own comics.
